Having the chance to enroll in an online academic setting has changed the lives of families around the world. Whether your family travels together while you’re homeschooling your children, your working together on the mission field, or you simply settled together in a geographic location that doesn’t provide the kind of Christian education you want for your growing teens, Northgate Academy provides options to help you prepare your children both academically and spiritually.
Northgate’s statement of faith as a non-denominational Christian school is the most important part of our program for 9th through 12th grade students. “We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons – God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice.” Our detailed Statement of Faith provides the foundation for the mission our school is working toward.
Northgate Academy can help you overcome geographic barriers to the kind of education you want for your child. Because we’re an accredited school, the education your student earns with NGA will allow them to attend college, join the military, or jump into the workforce. When it comes to providing your child with a solid foundation as a Christian student, you’ve got options through online high school programs.
Below we will list just a few of the ways that Northgate Academy can help.
100% Online
The first way we can help families who don’t have access to Christian academics because of location is because our program is 100% online. There are no physical textbooks, and you never have to ship your students’ work to us. Everything is done completely online. You and your students can email instructors, chat with academic success coaches, or send in help tickets all online. We work hard to make sure any location is a convenient one for enrollment in NGA.
Flexibility
Our academic programs are also flexible. Students are given 12 months from the time of enrollment to finish their courses, but they can finish them much sooner than that if they’d like to. This provides you with the flexibility to arrange your students’ schedules based on what is going on in your region, in your family, or in your community.
If your student is motivated to finish school early, they can. If they want to work on their classes four days a week so that they can participate in other activities important for their development, they can do that, too. Your family’s schedule drives what your school year and school days look like. You and your students can arrange their schedule to suit your needs within the twelve months of their program.
Course Options
We’ve also got a variety of courses that a lot of in-person Christian schools can’t offer due to class size or teacher availability. Not only are students able to take traditional core classes, but we also offer a variety of faith-based electives, language courses, and courses to prepare them for any STEM field they’d like to pursue. Because we are an online school, geography and scheduling is no barrier to the number of edifying and enriching courses we can provide for our students.
Not only do we offer a variety of courses, but we also offer one-on-one online tutoring so that our students have access to highly trained professional tutors regardless of their location. NGA students don’t have to get to a tutoring center to successfully navigate courses that might be challenging to them. Instead, they can meet a tutor online and get the help they need to ensure their success. We are committed to our students’ growth and success!
