NCAA-Approved Core Courses

NCAA Eligibility for Northgate Academy Students

Northgate Academy offers NCAA-approved core courses that student-athletes can use toward the academic requirements for competing in college. Our account with the NCAA Eligibility Center is cleared, which means our approved core courses and our proof of graduation can both be used in the initial-eligibility certification process.

Accredited Education

Northgate Academy is accredited by Cognia and the Middle States Association, which means that colleges, employers, and the military accept the diploma your student earns.

Affordable Tuition

We offer monthly payment plans that bring the cost of a private Christian education within reach of more families.

Flexible Learning

Our self-paced courses allow students to enroll at any point in the year and to work at a pace that fits their family's schedule.

Look Up Our Approved Course List

The NCAA Eligibility Center publishes the current list of approved core courses for every cleared high school, and ours is public. Search the High School Portal using our code to see which Northgate Academy courses count toward initial eligibility.

Check it again before a student registers, since course lists are reviewed and can change from one year to the next.

Northgate Academy’s NCAA high school code is 240003.

Coursework That Fits an Athlete’s Schedule

Northgate Academy’s NCAA-approved core courses let student-athletes keep their academic eligibility on track while they train and compete. Coursework is online and self-paced, so school fits around practice, travel, and competition rather than the other way around.

Our Core Course List

Core Courses for Student-Athletes

Our NCAA-approved core courses are part of the same accredited curriculum every Northgate Academy student takes, so a student-athlete earns the same diploma as everyone else.

The courses listed here cover language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and world languages. It is a selection rather than the official record, which the NCAA Eligibility Center maintains.

Learn Anytime, Around Your Training

Coursework is online and available at any hour, so a student can work around practice, travel, and competition rather than fitting training around a class timetable.

Courses Recognized by the NCAA

Our approved core courses meet NCAA academic standards and appear on Northgate Academy’s own list with the NCAA Eligibility Center, under school code 240003. That list is what a student’s initial-eligibility review is checked against.

Stay Prepared for the Next Level

Our accredited curriculum gives student-athletes the academic base colleges look for. Families can use our NCAA school code to check the current approved list as they plan each year’s courses.

PLEASE NOTE

Northgate Academy provides a selection of NCAA-approved core courses; however, the NCAA Eligibility Center maintains the official and most up-to-date course list for every school.
Because NCAA approvals can change, students and families must verify Northgate Academy’s current approved courses directly through the Eligibility Center.

Completion of NCAA-approved courses does not guarantee eligibility. Eligibility is determined solely by the NCAA based on the student’s complete academic record and NCAA regulations.

NCAA Core Course Requirements

Separately from our course list, the NCAA sets its own requirements: how many core courses a student needs, which subjects they must cover, and the grades that go with them. The Eligibility Center publishes the current standards and updates them as the rules change.

Accreditation You Can Trust

Recognized Nationwide

Northgate Academy is regionally accredited by Cognia (formerly AdvancED), with additional accreditations from NCA, SACS, NWAC, and the Middle States Association. Every transcript and diploma we issue carries that recognition, which is what colleges, employers, and other schools look for first.
